William Hill USA esports review When it comes to gambling entertainment, William Hill USA counts itself as a pioneer of elite betting providers. This juggernaut of the gaming industry provides everything from sportsbooks to online casino gambling. William Hill Tn Sportsbook Review Unlike many brands that are entirely new, William Hill has been around since 1934. There are so many things we could say about this online betting operator with a rich history and solid fan base. However, we had to choose only some aspects to describe in our William Hill TN review. There is certainly no question that the William Hill sportsbook is entirely legitimate and it is most definitely one of the safest and most secure that you could hope to find. Add to that the fact that William Hill has never forgotten people wager for pleasure and it has set out to make using the sportsbook comfortable and very enjoyable for anyone.
William Hill, self-claimed ”Britain’s favorite bookmaker,” has been through several ups and downs throughout its history that spans almost a century (the company was founded in 1934).
Right now, though, things are looking up: in 2014, they reported net revenue of £1.6 billion (up 8% from the previous year) and operating profits of £372.2 million (up 11% from the previous year). Having been online since 1998, William Hill is now one of the biggest internet bookmakers in the U.K. with almost 3 million digital customers yearly and over 16,000 employees in three locations (UK, Ireland and Gibraltar). They’ve won plenty of industry awards, the latest of which being Sportsbook Operator of the Year at 2016 iGaming Awards.
WilliamHill.com is translated into 21 languages and the site gets plenty of traffic from all over Europe – in fact, one of their main markets besides the UK is Spain (they’re La Liga team Malaga’s main sponsor). The UK is clearly the biggest market for William Hill and responsible for around 82% of their revenue. According to Gambling Compliance, William Hill has the biggest market share in the UK online betting industry (15%, although Bet365.com comes close with 14% of the market).
You have to be ”everywhere” in order to become one of the biggest betting sites in the UK. William Hill achieves this partly by sponsoring the England and Scotland national teams, the FA Cup, World Darts Championship, ”the richest greyhound race in the world” at Wimbledon, and several other top-level competitions.
Players from the US, Germany, France and Turkey are prohibited.
Plenty of Ways to Fund Your Account
As you might expect from a gambling site that’s big on an international level, William Hill has a plethora of free deposit and withdrawal options: Visa, Mastercard, and Maestro credit and debit cards, e-wallets like Neteller and Skrill, online banking services, pre-paid cards, and vouchers. (I counted 40 payment options altogether.)
The deposit limit for most of the banking options is £10 while the withdrawal limit is £5. This might sound like a small detail, but many sites have a min. deposit limit of £10 and a min. withdrawal limit of £20 so it’s nice that the min. amount you can withdraw is smaller than the min. amount you can deposit.
Sportsbook
Considering all the information I ran into when doing research, I had high expectations for William Hill (especially the sportsbook section of the site).
At first sight, though, the betting interface looked surprisingly complicated. I’ve gotten used to filters on the left side of betting lines so it took me a while to find the tabs positioned above the betting lines.
The sportsbook lobby felt complicated but you’ll learn your way around it.
Soccer is a huge market for William Hill (as you might guess to be the case for a sportsbook that’s popular within United Kingdom and sponsors both England and Scotland national teams). They now offer betting lines on over 60,000 soccer games per year, so wherever you’re from, they’ve got you covered in all likelihood.
In-play betting has gotten increasingly popular in the sports betting market in general. William Hill has recognized the opportunity and in-play games now bring-in around half of their turnover.
William Hill has plenty of leagues and games covered from several countries. Still, I was surprised to find out that, for example, the Finnish hockey league (”SM-Liiga”) was missing even though it’s one of the most reputable hockey leagues in the world, and the same was true for ”Veikkausliiga,” the premier football league in Finland. William Hill has covered British sports extremely well (as one might expect) but I wouldn’t recommend this site to our Finnish visitors.
Problems with the Poker Client
You can only install William Hill Poker if you have a Windows computer. I have an iMac, so I had to use the instant-play version of the poker client – in other words, I played within the web browser.
Or at least tried to play.
Even though I have a 100mb internet connection, the experience was too laggy for my liking, and the graphics looked poor on my 27-inch Retina display. That was not all, though: the poker client froze the second I received my cards (I could only hear the software telling me to act but there was nothing I could do):
I have no idea what’s going on in this screenshot. It’s my turn – I can hear the game urging me to act – but there’s nothing I can do.
So What About the Casino?
I decided to go ahead and try the Vegas-styled games. I chose Wish Upon a Jackpot and pressed ”Play Now,” only to see the following notification:
A streak of bad luck and I haven’t even started playing yet!
I had now tried to play twice (first poker then casino games) and been unsuccessful both times. If I was a regular customer and not someone who’s out to write a William Hill review, I would have probably given up here. But there I was 15 minutes later, determined to finish this review with style.
So I went ahead and chose White King – after all, I’ve always liked lions. And…
… it finally worked!
It was a struggle but I got there. Here’s my reward: a majestic 0.50€ win.
The game loaded in a few seconds and there I was, ready to play. Instantly, they wanted me to allow pop-ups for williamhill.com – I wondered why, considering how nothing good ever comes out of pop-ups. The game seemed to function just fine, but I thought it could have something to do with the actual gameplay experience. Nope, it was just to bombard me with three advertisements before I even got a chance to spin the reel.
After getting rid of the ads, I was still unable to play. Apparently, the deposit went to my poker balance, so now I had to go to my account page and transfer the money to my casino balance. (By the way, I lost 0.05€ during the poker game for not acting after posting blinds – normally I’d leave that issue alone but since it’s such a small sum of money – however, for the purposes of writing this review, I thought it would be best to see how the customer service were going to react to this issue – more about that lower.)
Then I finally got to play for real. Here are some screenshots:
Got a straight when playing Jacks or Better.
The roulette game has nice graphics.
I won nothing throughout several spins on the Incredible Hulk.
I love the graphics in this Playtech-powered blackjack game.
The Spider-Man game was fun.
William Hill Casino offers a 100% up to £150 first deposit bonus. The bonus has a 20x wagering requirement (deposit+bonus) but that only goes for slots and scratch cards; if you want to play roulette games, Casino Hold’em or Pai-Gow, the requirement is 80x; if you want to play baccarat, blackjack games (excluding Blackjack Switch and Pontoon), craps, or video poker, the requirement is 100x.
For example, if you were to deposit £150 (for which you’d get a £150 bonus), you would have to place a total of £6000 worth of bets on slot machines or scratch cards in order to complete the bonus and be allowed to withdraw your winnings. This is one of the better bonuses in the online casino market considering the wagering requirements. The casino bonus is valid for 30 days after registering.
William Hill recently opened a Macau-styled online casino (before doing so they already had a “regular” online casino and a Vegas-styled casino). It’s certainly an interesting addition – you can experience Macau on your computer with games that are different from what we’re used to seeing online – oh, and they have live dealers and all.
The lobby of William Hill’s Macau-styled casino.
The live dealer casino has a min. betting limit of 3€ and max. betting limit of 10,000€.
Customer Support
Remember when I lost that 0.05€ in the poker game because the poker client froze on me and I unable to act after posting blinds? As mentioned, this was a good opportunity to test the quality of their customer service, so here I was, in the waiting line for their live chat support:
I waited almost exactly 03:25 minutes for the chat to start.
22 minutes later, I was still waiting for Kim the chat support agent to solve the case. Finally, Kim had done her check-up, and declared: ”As I have checked your account, there’s no broken games recorded.”
Well, I still had the screenshot you saw earlier in this article, so I instantly attached that to the chat as proof. 15 minutes later Kim tells me she’s still there and proceeds to disappear for another 5 minutes, until…
It took Kim 50 minutes to reach her verdict.
Kim solved the issue (or so I thought)! I would be happy with the outcome if it hadn’t taken 50 minutes. Oh, and the fact that the money never appeared on my account. I just didn’t have it in me to start a new chat conversation.
You can reach William Hill’s customer service via live chat, phone, e-mail and even Twitter, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As you can tell, being available in many ways means little if the actual customer service experience is bad – for example, many criticize Pinnacle Sports for only having e-mail support but I have no complaints because they do it so well.
Conclusion
WilliamHill.com is best-suited for U.K. sports bettors. I had a below average experience at William Hill’s casino and poker room, so I wouldn’t recommend anyone to sign-up just for those. This site has a long history of being a reliable gambling operator, and as one of the biggest online bookmakers in the U.K., they’re constantly under the public eye, so I’d feel safe betting money here.

William Hill App Overview
William Hill is already a very well known household name, being one of the oldest high street bookies in the UK. Now they are just as well known for their online and mobile betting services.
The company has a rich and varied history. Launched in 1934 the firm has gone from strength-to-strength over the years as it became a real leader on the high-street. With its dark blue signs and gold lettering, the brand is instantly recognisable on every major shopping area throughout the UK.
With the introduction of the internet and online betting the game changed somewhat. Start-up firms saw a niche, seizing their chance to move in and grab a corner of the market. Suddenly, high-street experience and loyalty counted for nothing.
Thankfully for William Hill customers, the firm was quick to move with the times, ploughing cash into their online strategy and backing it with a state-of-the-art website that meant backers were no longer required to get themselves down to their local betting office. They could bet at home, when they liked and on whatever they liked. We haven’t looked back since. Then came mobile betting.
Mobile betting apps meant it was even more convenient to get your bets on. Operated through your mobile or tablet, it could now be done from your bed, sofa, at work, on the train, in the park or down the pub. Any situation was now a potential wagering situation. It’s a punter’s dream!
Key Benefits
There are many reasons to consider the William Hill mobile app, but where do you start? Well, new players should start by opening an account. It’s quick and easy to do.
As well as being able to claim the welcome bonus, you will also get the following benefits:
Bet from anywhere with your new William Hill account
Get exclusive promotions and offers for mobile users!
Have full access to your bankroll, deposit money and withdraw your winnings
Access the full range of in-play betting markets
You’re probably ready to get started. So let’s take a look at how you can quickly and easily install the app.
William Hill Android App
William Hill has been among the top-ranking betting apps on Android for quite a while now, and we expect that to be the case for the future. It’s no fluke either, the William Hill sports betting app gives fans exactly what they want – good prices, lots of markets, user friendliness, speed and, of course, attractive bonus deals. Check out the reviews left to get a better understanding of what everyday users have been saying. They are completely neutral and honest from what we’ve found.
The homepage is clean-cut hassle free and no-nonsense. In fact, it gives a taste of what you can expect from the app and what to expect from the William Hill brand as a whole. Some of their rivals go over the top with flashy promises and welcome bonuses but Hills are straight down the middle. You get the sports you love, competitive prices and it’s really simple to use. It doesn’t matter how experienced you are with betting apps or sports betting. The screens are all extremely basic – and for good reason. The homepage offers quick-links to horse racing, football, tennis, cricket, in-play and more.
If you are after something that’s not visible on the homepage it doesn’t mean they’re not covering it. Chances are they will be – no matter how unique you think your idea is. Click the sidebar for more options and here you can scroll through the categories of interest. You’ll even see the likes of politics betting in here on occasion.
It’s worth noting at this point that Google Play have an ongoing dispute with the gambling industry as a whole so you won’t see the William Hill mobile app there, it’s a waste of time trying and it doesn’t look like the two parties will reach a compromise anytime soon. Therefore, we have to work a little harder, but it’s nothing complicated, that’s for sure. Here’s what you need to do.
How To Download & Install on Android
Click the button to register for a new account.
You will then be logged in and redirected to the home page.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the button to get the app for Android.
It will then install automatically just like any other app.
Some phones may require you to quickly modify the settings. But this is nothing to worry about, and it won’t put you at any risk. Go to settings > security > device administration > unknown sources. Check the box there.
To finish installation look for the APK file in your file manager. Click it and your operating system will take over, installing and setting up the app ready for use.
Turn your locations on to ensure a smooth service – the app needs to know gambling is legal in your region.
William Hill iPhone / iPad App
Apple are among the most trendy brands in the world at the minute and their products are used for a number of purposes in our every day lives. They have become so popular in fact it’s unlikely many people won’t know how to install an app on their iPhone or iPad.
Just like Apple phones, and the William Hill app is popular among punters too and it’s always near the head of the ratings. Again, don’t take our word for it, read the reviews left on the app store and make your own mind up. As mobile betting grows, so too does the WH app. We’re seeing no signs of this slowing down anytime in the near future.
The IOS and Android apps are very similar, certainly in terms of looks and how to work through the pages. Simplicity is key here with the layout kept minimal. Like above, you can easily access the most commonly used markets such as football and horse racing or you can dig a bit deeper to uncover dogs, tennis, cricket and boxing. You’ll even benefit from Racing Post provided betting tips on the UK and Irish horse racing.
Once you have decided what you’re going to bet on you can go ahead and add funds to your account through your preferred payment option. We’ll speak about this in a bit more detail later in the article. However, it’s worth saying here that depositing funds and collecting your winnings is quick, easy and secure.
How To Download & Install on iOS
The William Hill app is available from App Store or the Hills site, either desktop or mobile. Just click the button and your device will do all the heavy lifting, leaving you with a shiny new app to explore within seconds.
Locate and click the istore app on your homepage.
Type William Hill into the search bar and tap.
Click install and you are done. The app will be be up and running in a matter of seconds.
You’ll know by now when reading our review that WH are not a complicated bunch. They know the value of keeping things simple and they also appreciate that there’s a generation of people used to getting what they want quickly, at the click of a button. The longer they have you waiting around and searching for something the more chance there is of you changing your mind or going elsewhere and that will never do in such a competitive market.
Everything is kept simple to use but if you ever have a problem that needs addressing you can even contact the customer service team through the app. Send them an email, get a telephone number, retrieve social media details such as their Twitter handle or fill in the live chat box that instantly puts you in touch with the fully trained and friendly staff.
Please note, Apple currently has no ongoing problems with the industry, meaning the device will do the work for you without fuss, unlike Android users.
William Hill Mobile Website
It’s not all about the app as not all William Hill mobile customers choose to have the app on their phone. Some don’t have the space to free up – too many selfies and pictures of food, perhaps – others like to stick to what they know. So, if you want a bet when out and about but don’t have or want the app downloaded to your device, there’s another way – the William Hill mobile site.
This is a mobile version of the full website with much the same lay-out, features and functionality. If you have experience using the desktop version, then you could pick-up the mobile site and start using it straight away. You’ll have no problem finding what you’re after in no time at all. It’s similar to the desktop site, as mentioned, but it’s also very like the app too in terms of how and when you can use it.
Simply click here to access it through your mobile browser. Once you’ve signed up, you can also deposit funds to bet with flick between tabs such as sports, casino and games, bet pre-match and in-play and even watch live sportsf through your William Hill TV stream. Unlike some other mobile versions of sites, this one is very easy to navigate and it fits the purpose perfectly.
Which Should You Choose?
You do lose some little benefits of the app such as swiping and tapping markets. But most people wouldn’t notice, especially those who don’t tend to use too many apps on their device. On the flip side the positives of just using your browser include the fact it doesn’t take up memory on your phone. You don’t need to install anything and won’t get bothered by reminders to update when needed.
Check the settings of your browsers and you can set it to save your passwords. So, like the app, it’s a simple method of tapping to open and logging in. That may not suit every user however as if you lose your phone or have it stolen the log-in details are already there, as well as some of your most sensitive information.
In a nutshell – the mobile site is a bit more impressive visually whereas the app is simpler, quicker and just a touch easier to navigate. Both do a cracking job. But when we remember mobile betting is all about speed and simplicity I’d say the app just about sticks its nose in front in this leg of the race.
William Hill Bingo App
The thing worth jotting down about the apps is that, unlike the desktop or mobile sites where each service is split up into tabs at the top of the screen, they have their own individual apps here. That speeds things up and avoids over burdening the app with sections you’ll never use in your life as a punter. It’s better to let you decide – do you want this, or this, or a bit of both?
If you are a sportsbook punter then you’d obviously choose the sports app. Maybe you sometimes try your luck on the games and casino, in which case you can get those apps too. Perhaps you have no interest in Lotto and Live Casino. If so, you don’t have to bother installing them. No need for them to be taking up storage space.
William Hill have invested a lot of man hours, money and effort into getting their Bingo app off the ground and it shows. You can play the nation’s favourite game at home while sitting on the sofa or when on the move.
If you use the bingo app and you’ll also get a welcome bonus. This will allow you to familiarise yourself with the service without posing too much of a risk to your own funds. The bonus offers are always being updated to keep them competitive in the market so it’s worth checking online for the latest deal. Past offers, to give you an idea, have included 100% deposit bonus. This is where you put in your first deposit and it is matched as a free bet. This allows you to check out the games on offer which range from traditional bingo to the exciting, new-age speed bingo.
Sign up now for your exclusive welcome bonus. Billys spin and win.
William Hill Vegas Casino App
This is another separate app, and this one looks to recreate the thrill of the Vegas casino experience. This is among the best and most famous apps of its kind in the world. Again that’s no fluke, it’s all down to the hard work and investment of the William Hill management team. Need more proof of this? Easily done. Simply check the ratings and reviews left on the app store, it’s something we always advise doing.
The graphics are perfect, the speed instant with no lags or snags and the whole experience is something that must be seen to be believed. There are lots of popular games – some you will know and love, others are new and exciting. The titles here include Blackjack, Texas Hold-Em and 3-Card Poker. Different levels of play and competition means there’s something for everyone, from low stakes to stunning jackpots.
You can even play some table games in real-time against live opposition. Here there’s interactive chat, attractive dealers and even some side-bets. You can enjoy a night at the casino without getting dressed up, leaving the house or even getting off the sofa.
When registering you’ll also be offered an eye-catching welcome bonus that can be used on most games. This means you can have a poke around and get used to how things work. You may even win big with the free bet. That would be something special.
William Hill Mobile Casino
Play like a casino kingpin in your t-shirt and shorts. It’s all about convenience and little by little the outside world is being beamed into your front room. Who knows, in a far off future we may never leave the house.
Returning to the present day and all you have to do to get a slice of the James Bond casino life is to install the William Hill casino app onto your mobile. It can be used in an array of languages, it’s up to you. But not all countries can play, so be sure to turn on your location settings to be safe.
Play slot games, table games and video poker. You’re in charge here and you can shift between the lot until you find your lucky zone. Live betting is another option of the William Hill casino app. This feature lets you pit your wits against real players in real time with live dealers through a faultless stream.
The rooms operate 24/7 and there’s always someone on hand to help with any queries or questions. There’s a welcome bonus offered to you at the sign-up stage which may include a free bet and matched stake. Check out the T&Cs for more details.
Special Features At William Hill
William Hill are doing nothing unique in putting together books on sports and taking bets on the outcome but it’s the way they do it that’s particularly impressive and there are certain benefits to betting with William Hill you just won’t get elsewhere.
Here are a few of our favourites…
#YourOdds
Just about every market and betting opportunity is covered by William Hill but if you fancy a bet on something you can’t find listed, you can now suggest it to the traders through Twitter using the handle #YourOdds. If they think it’s sensible enough and other gamblers may be interested in it, they will add odds and publish it. You can suggest your own bets or back others put forward by customers.
Cash Out
Cash out has changed betting forever, especially accumulator betting. If you place a five-fold acca – for example – and four selections are winning with one drawing you will be offered a cash out option. This allows you to get your hands on a profit by settling your bets before the event finishes. It won’t be as much as first promised but it will still be a nice return. But the real benefit is that it saves the threat of your bet going down and you getting nothing. It also works for the bookie as they end up paying out less than if you got 5/5.
Mobile Bonuses
William Hill is the home of customer service and there’s no doubt you’ll feel valued from your first click and visit. They run a number of welcome bonuses that include matched free bets. These are updated regularly so the best advice we could give you on this one is click any link to William Hill on this page. Doing this will take you to the latest information on the promotions available.
What we must add is that, unlike most of the competition, they don’t just offer new customer bonuses. They also have regular deals for those loyal to the brand and that makes perfect sense to us. These change to keep up with the latest sport, but they could be runner-up money back on a major horse race, enhanced each-way in a golf major or price boost in the weekend football.
What Are The System Requirements?
All apps have certain system requirements for them to work on your phone, but you’ll find most modern handsets can operate the William Hill app as long as they are updated when needed. Check the user details but if your device is not compatible you will not be able to download the app.
Android Requirements
To get the most out of your app and to ensure a smooth download, your phone should have at least version 4.1.2 of the OS. It’s worth knowing that the downloaded app uses about 60MB of your storage. So do make sure you have plenty of room available to avoid a failed download. Also, be sure to check your location allows use of the William Hill’s service.
iOS Requirements
Apple products such as iphone, ipad and iwatch should be ios 9.0 or newer. The app will use slightly more storage here – about 64MB. Again check you have the space to firstly download this app and then use it when needed. The app is regularly updated to keep it working best and this is very easy to do. Just like with all apps you’ll get a notification when it needs an update. Click and accept then your smartphone will do the rest itself with no interference
Frequently Asked Questions
If you require assistance you’ll find the William Hill customer service team to be helpful and easy to reach. Get in touch through telephone, email, social media, post or live chat. If you prefer to deal with it yourself you can use the FAQs section of the app. A few examples can be found below…
Which Payment & Withdrawal Methods Can I Use?
Whether you’re using the full-site, mobile version or app you’ll find the payment transactions – both deposits and withdrawals – to be fast, hassle-free and, above all else, secure. There’s a range of options on offer, as you would expect from an industry leader. These range from banking methods such as credit/debit cards to ewallets including Paypal. Transfer times and limits apply across the board.
The list of accepted payment methods at William Hill includes:

William Hill Cabernet Review
I’ve been asked to send documents for age verification, what should I do?
To make the Age Verification process as painless as possible, here are a few hints for when you send in your documents:
Each document must be sent as a separate image
Photo Captured images are preferred, but if you’d rather scan your documents, send them as a .jpeg
When you take your picture:
Your picture must be in focus and all the text must be clearly visible
A full passport photo page or ID must be in shot, don’t leave any bits out or cover with your hand or fingers
The lighting must be good, to stop any glare don’t use flash
Your documents can be sent and checked in seconds using our verification page or live chat. However allow 24 hours if you sent an email.
They will need all of this because it’s part and parcel of gambling responsibly – and the Gambling Commission requires it. We’ve been assured by William Hill that they are careful with your data, and that they store the documents in line with the Data Protection Act.
#Yourodds
You can now ask for odds by contacting William Hill on Twitter. Requests must be made by tweeting @williamhill and using #YourOdds. These will then be looked at by their traders and priced up in the #YourOdds section within the event.
William Hill Nj Reviews
Responsible gambling
William Hill want you to enjoy your online betting experience. Working with regulators and gambling charities they offer a wide range of controls for customers who experience difficulties and addictions.
Whilst they can provide the tools to control your gambling, they cannot assume all responsibility for exercising that control. Individual personal responsibility plays a large part in using the tools they offer. So if you are worried you may avoid them intentionally, please seek advice from a specialist organisation or charity such as GamCare.
Conclusion
It’s obvious that William Hill have put a lot of thought into the design of their apps. The implementation looks to have been well done as well. It’s simple enough to use, and it runs fast too.
Hills are slightly behind bet365 in terms of the features and promotions they offer. They do offer a decent all round betting experience, and are justifiably popular with punters. Whilst they can’t compete with Betfair in terms of odds, they do have some good options like YourOdds which others don’t.
William Hill North Coast Chardonnay Review
Given that there is a decent welcome bonus available, it’s well worth opening an account and checking it out. You could always use the mobile website first, and then go ahead and download the app later if you like what you see.
